OutputTo Word/Excel 2003 Causes Fatal Error

Every time people using our 97 Runtime App try to export (OutputTo) a
previewed report to Excel or Word 2003 it gives a "Microsoft Access
has encountered an error" and then proceeds to crash and terminate.

The error doesn't occur if they open Word 2003 or Excel 2003 first.

Any ideas why this is happening?

The thing is that it only occurs on a particular report that is:

- Landscape
- Has 5 Sub-Reports
- Has about 700 controls.

I'm using OutputTo to send data into Excel. It has been working nicely. Now, I need to add more worksheets using OutputTo. Whenever I use it, it replaces the existing worksheet. Is there any way to get OutputTo to create more than one worksheet?

I created a macro with two instructions: (1) SetWarnings = No (2) OutputTo ... <file name> My problem is that I will run a batch of these macros and do not want my users to get prompted every time a file will be republished. With the SetWarnings turned to 'No,' I do not understand why I am seeing this error. Is there any way I can get rid of this error? Thanks,

Has anyone had any problems with inter-office automation between MS Word and MS Access in Office 2003? I have recently installed office 2003 in a new folder and have left the older office 2000 and office XP components installed. ie I have word/access/excel 2k/xp/2003 installed. I tried to do a usual access 2k to word 2k automation yet I get the error "Automation Error" "ClassFactory cannot supply requested class" when on late binding try...

Hi, I have a button on a form that outputs a report to word. While it has been working well for a while, today it is not. The behaviour now is that it endlessly outputs pages to word. There are just 63 records (report pages) to output....I hit cancel when the counter was in the 10'000 range. Here is my code....any ideas??

This board has been a plethora of information. Thanks to all that respond! I have a quick question regarding the built-in OutputTo macro. I've built a shared database in Access 2003 (in Access 2000 file format) that resides on a shared network drive. This OutputTo macro is essentially setup to export one small table to an Excel spreadsheet once a user clicks a command button on the switchboard. Another user and I (both of us have...

Gday, I have a set of Access 2000 tables that I would like to export into a MS Word 2000 template at specific bookmark locations that I've set up. Would anyone know the code to achieve something like this? I've heard about using the OutPutTo method, but I'm not sure if it can output to a specific bookmark location. Any thoughts?

I am using OutputTo to export a query to excel, prompt the user to save as and then open the excel file. See below: DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputQuery, "q701ExportFields", acFormatXLS, , True 'Opend Excel Automatically Now I want to add a row to the opened spreadsheet at the top and add a title. How do I accomplish this? I am new to excel formatting, but I created a macro and the code to do this is: Rows("1:1").Select Selection.Insert...

Hello. I was hoping that someone may be able to assist with an issue that I am experiencing. I have created an Access DB which imports an Excel File with a particular layout and field naming. Next the user can go into a Form which basically a dynamic query with a friendly interface that eventually outputs a table that is stored in the DB as well as exported to a CSV file. The CSV file is then used with a vendor solution to fill in...

Hello! I'm having an issue with the OutputTo function of Access. I have a few queries that I export to excel (by way of the OutputTo function) This works fine. I then take an excel sheet and link some data from these exported sheets with other data from other excel sheets. I can create a link to one of the exported sheets. It will import the information fine, I can manipulate is needed, no issues. However, once I save the excel...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
