I have a subform that displays a datasheet. There are a couple of
different queries that can be displayed in the datasheet. The queries
are available in a combo box on the main form. The problem I am
having is that when I change the query all the column widths remain
the same. This doesn't look very good. I can't figure out a way to
set the column widths.
I have tried..
Subform.controls(Name of Column).columnwidth = IntColumnWidth

I'm curious if anyone knows of a way (if one exists) to tell a form (in
Access 2002 VBA) to sort on an unbound column of a combo box on the form.
Here's what I want to do:
A combo box on my form contains a category ID (bound column, not visible,
long integer) for the items listed on the form and a description (unbound

Access 2K/2003, Win XP Pro
I need to be able to detect when a subform datasheet is currently
displaying a vertical scrollbar.
I.e if the subform datasheet is showing more records than can fit the
subform window Access will make the vertical scrollbar visible.

I want to allow users to resize and reposition columns of a datasheet
but for a prompt to be brought up and only the layout only to be saved
if they select "save changes". This is the way it works at the moment
for queries but for datasheet forms I find that it automatically saves
column positions and widths without prompting to save changes.
I should mention i am using Access 2000

by the way, there is not keep the column width in ms access.
for example, i close the form, open the form again...

Here is the scenario. I have a form-"formA", I created another form-"FormB" which will be placed on FormA . I go to FormA in desgn view and use the button for "create subform" to bring in "FormB" onto "FormA". Here is the problem.... once the subform is on the main form you can not change any of the characteristics on "FormB" and have them show on "FormA". I have five subforms each living in a page on a tab control. Each form is
in datasheet view.
The time has come to resize both the forms and the subforms.
I am able to change the column widths in the first subform and these are
remembered. However the column widths for all the other subforms change
back to their original widths when I re-enter the form.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
