Dear all,
I have a database with all the research capabilities of professors of a
university. I need to implement a "keyword search" feature in my
welcome page which will actually work like a query generator and search
my entire database for the keyword entered by the user and show up
table/form that has the keyword searched for.
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Thanks ,

sorry I forgot to mention its a Microsoft Access database!
Thx,
Geetha

If we have a solution for you in, let's say about 2 weeks, will that be OK ??
Maybe in the meantime one of the professors can help you out??
Or in the meantime you could Google for 'keyword search' in this group ??
Arno R

If you have to search the entire database for a keyword, then your
design is awful. What does your table structure look like? This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I am building a website which stores the headers of newsgroup articles in a
database so people can search through the headers using keywords.
My queries use WHERE LIKE statements.
CREATE TABLE `headers` (
`header_id` int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`header_num` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
`message_id` varchar(150) NOT NULL default '',
`subject` varchar(200) NOT NULL default '',

I have a database where each row has a set of keywords separated by
commas eg .
ROW 1 ID,<other columns>,"green,hat,man,boat"
ROW 2 ID,<other columns>,"green,boat,seaside"
ROW 3 ID,<other columns>,"red,hat"
I want users to be able to find similar records to the one they are
looking it (this is art BTW). ie if they are looking at row 1 and
click "Find Similar Works of Art" I want to do a query where I find

Hi,
We have a need to create pages on the fly for ASP.NET applications based on
some string that the Url ends with. For example:
http://www.domain.com/SomePath/aabbccdd.
"aabbccdd" does not exist physically on the file system, but we'd like that
to be handled somehow as an ID, make a call to some other system to retrieve
data (Web Service, database etc.), and then generate a response page.

Currently I have a search page that only allows a single keyword (person) to be searched at a time. I thought upgrading that option via a multiple selection listbox would be better so that you can search for a pair or more of people at a time but the query that makes this happen is giving me a run for my money. I’m unsure as how to proceed and so I’m hoping someone can help me out.

Hi,
I have put together a reference library of journal articles and other citations. There are various queries that prompt the user to enter a search term (such as a keyword) and return all article citations that contain the keyword that the user entered.
We want to add a feature where the user could click on any part of the citation info returned from the query, and be taken to that same citation's record in the main form (frmCite).

Anyway, the exact problem.
For each record in a table (called Maindata) I want to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
