Hi:
I have two tables, a setup table (TblSetup) and a purchase order table (tblPO).
When i construct a query with ONLY the tblPO shown, and a type in parameter for the PO
number, I an update the original tblPO. However, when I introduce the setup file into the
query I cannot update the result. THis is true if I make a link to Setup or not. In fact,
setup contains the client ID, which i wish to test against the client ID in the PO...

I have created a split MDB that was intended for use on a single PC.The
user has asked for it now to be setup as a multi-user (without
security) system.
I have placed the "application" mdb on one PC and linked to the "data"
mdb across a Windows network. The linking works fine, but when I open a
form that is supposed to display records on a continuous form, only
existing records are displayed, i.e. there is no "blank" new record...

Hi
I have a large table which I wanted to filter and then edit the selected
record.
I'm using a form with several pull down fields linked to lookup tables which
correspond to fields in the large table. The user selects a number or
category or All from the pull-down and this is used in a query, made up of
the main table and the lookup tables with a suitable Iif statement to filter
the query.
So on the form there are several fields that...

Hi!
I am able to add records to my SQL 2005 database using bound forms in my
Access application, but if I try to edit any records (not only the new
records I create) using the same bound forms, I receive a write conflict.
For the record, I am currently the only user of this application and my SQL
Server database has only one userID. I used this userID to create all of
the objects in the database and to connect to the database from...

access xp, sql server 2000.
Just converted entire database to sql and keeping access front end.
Problem is only with one table.
inserting a new record works fine. If I go back to that record to
enter in more data I get a write conflict error. If I try to delete
the record I get a jet database engine stopped because me and someone
else is attempting to change the data. No one else is in the database.

on sql 2005, I've got a view with select permission granted, the view
just "select * from table"
using odbc in access97, I linked this view and I create a query to
retrieve certain fields
the query properties are 'no locks' and dynaset record type
but just executing the query as a datasheet, locks some records in the
original sql server table
is this how it should work ? seems to me that it should not lock
anything

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
