I'm sure it sounds kinda nutty to display 200 columns and
500,000 rows of data. But I have been pulling data from a
Lotus Notes database into Sql Server for a while now, but
Lotus Notes is starting to crack, columns getting
corrupted. Can't handle the volume of data and number of
columns. Sql Server has no problem. But displaying the...

I've read the former postings but was not able to solve my problem:
I have a Summary Table (or MQT as you like it) and the query optimizer
does not seem to use the summary table.
I run the following commands:

My Access 2002-application need to work with tables from both Oracle and
Access. To solve this, I want to run some querys on three views in Oracle
and import the results into temporary Access-tables.

Hi,
I'm new to Access and this may be a basic question but I would
appreciate it if you could let me know how to do this:
I've created an Access table and would like to insert a column with the
field name "name" and to put the same word "unknown" down all the rows
of the column.
How could this be done both in the design mode and in sql...

Ok, in my database I have something like this:
Date One
# of Days to Next Date
These calculate a field "Date Two."
Because "Date Two" is an expression (calculated by the form), I can't
set the control source to save to a field in my table. How can I save
that value to my table?

I have a few tables with sensitive user information (passwords, etc.)
and I would like to prevent someone from opening a blank database and
importing those tables.
Is there a way to "hide" or protect these tables from being linked or
imported?
TIA

On a SQL Server 2000 db I would like to setup a stored procedure that
accesses couple tables and runs the extended stored procedure
xp..cmdshell. The goal is to grant users with limited privileges the
right to run the stored procedure but not the rights to directly
access either the referenced tables or the extended stored procedure.
TIA!

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
