Create a command button on a form and paste the code below on the On Click event procedure...

Private Sub cmdEmail_Click( )
Dim strToWhom As String
Dim strSubject As String
Dim strBody As String
Dim strMsgBody As String
Dim intSeeOutlook As Integer

strToWhom = InputBox("Enter recipient's e-mail address.")
strSubject = InputBox("Enter Subject.")
strBody = InputBox("Enter Text.")

'strToWhom = "xxx.xxx@xxx.co m"
'strSubject = "This is a test"
'strBody = "This is a test"

DoCmd.SendObjec t , , , strToWhom, , , strSubject, strBody, intSeeOutlook
x = MsgBox("Email has been sent")

End Sub

Thanks for your reply.
I used the code you presented before.
However it doesn't work.
everytime I get the following error
Microsoft Access can't open the mail session.
Check your mail application to make sure it's working properly.
That was my problem in the beginning.
I am not using outlook instead I'm using TW Mail from teamware.
In the internet exporer I can't select this program to make this the default
program for my emails.
I will need some further assistance to get the program working.

Using the objects in System.Web, I am able to send email to internal email address using VB or C#.net. But,if I try to send an email to an external email address, I receive this message: An unhandled exception of type 'System.Web.HttpException' occurred in system.web.dll Additional information: Could not access 'CDO.Message' object.

I discovered, with great excitement, this article http://www.davison.uk.net/vb2notes.asp when researching methods for emailing from Access via Notes. Unfortunatly, when I run this I get a Run-time error. When I run it on an XP machine it crashes, but on an NT box it just generates an unknown error, handled by the error handler. I have debugged and stepped through the code and have narrowed the issue to the point at which the...

Hello, I am using access 2000 and I am trying to email a csv file. I have only used the docmd.sendobject command but you can only email objects that are within the access database ( as far as I can tell anyway). I need to email a file that is not in my database. Is there another way I can send an email without using sendobject that would allow me to do this. Thanks for any help. Regards, Bill Mahoney

We have developed a commercial ASP.net application (personal nutrition management and tracking); we want to send smtp email from within it. For our development box, we use WinXP Pro, IIS 5.5, VisualStudio2002, VB as programing language. Our test/development version of the web app as hosted on our "localhost" works fine; our "Default SMTP Virtual Server" is running (per the IIS console).

Hi, I have built an webapp in C# that uses SMTPMail to send mail to users. When I installed it on the prodserver everything worked fine for me, but the users can not send mail. They get Access denied. If I add them to the administrator group of the server everything works fine. I have set <identity impersonate="true"/>

Greetings, I have been searching the web like mad for a solution to my SMTP problem. I am using Windows Server 2003 and ASP.NET 2.0 w/ C# to send out e-mails from a web site I have created to the members of my organization. I think my problem is incorrectly setting the settings on my server or an authentication problem. Here is the code I have written to send a test message: -----Code Begins: Sensitive Information Replaced by -----...

I collect information from my clients with an xls file I import the xls data into my access table. I don't have them put info directly into Access, because, despite the drop downs I have for data validation in my xls sheet, some fields are not suited to drops downs and there is some editing I have to do. Its not a big deal, I do this maybe 20 times a week. So on a tab in my form, I have a make request button which I want them to be...

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code. Introduction Uploading files from a local computer to a remote web server has many useful purposes, the most obvious of which is the sharing of files. For example, you upload images to a server to share them with other people over the Internet. Perl comes ready equipped for uploading files via the CGI.pm module, which has long been a core module and allows users...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
