Thanks for your reply, Larry, I'm trying to reproduce the event. In the
meantime, any further ideas would be appreciated. I have refined my
search slightly, as follows:
When there is a crash, Windows Application Error Reporting shows the
form which reads "Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Then there is a tickbox labelled "Restart Microsoft Access."
If the user leaves this ticked, then the App restarts.
My understanding is that the App may at this point prompt you to save
what you are doing to a backup file, and the user is shown the normal
save dialog (maybe I am being misinformed about the automatic repair?
Maybe it's just a save?).
It's this dialog that the client wants to avoid, particularly in a
Citrix environment. If Access crashes, they want to ensure that the
user has to restart manually.

As far as I know, there is no "automatic repair" performed by Access. And, I
am unaware of any similar function performed by Windows in the event of an
"Access crash." I don't recall hearing about such a feature, but also I
haven't _had_ an "Access crash" in years.
