Maximize a control when a form is maximized?

PW
Hi,

Is it possible to make a control bigger or maximize it also when the
user maximizes the form? I have a calendar control on a form and I
would like to automatically make it bigger when the form is maximized
so the user can see more detail.

I see there is only a height property for a form and no width
propertly. The calendar control on the form has both.

Any ideas?

Detail section has the Height property. Form itself has the Width property.

You can set your controls's height and width in the forms OnResize event:

Private Sub Form_Resize()

Const TPI As Long = 1440 'number of TWIPS per INCH.
Me.lboID.Height = 2 * TPI 'set height to 2 inches
Me.lboID.Width = 2 * TPI 'set width to 2 inches

End Sub

Hi, I have an Access 2000 database with one main form in which all subforms are embedded. In this form I have a timer which closes the form, detaches the linked (ODBC) tables and reopens the same form with a login dialog (initiated in onOpen). When I open the application the form maximizes (as it should). But when the code reopens the form, the form is not maximized. I have DoCmd.Maximize in onOpen,onLoad,onActivate. What else can I try...

I set an MDI child form to Windowstate=maximized at design time. When I new up and show the child form in the MDI parent, the child's title is hidden since it's pushed to far up (below parent tool bar). On the MDI parent, the resize icon is displayed in the top right. That means the child is maximized right? What doesn't it fill the parent container area? When I click the resize icon, the child then jumps to the parent center and...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
