I have a form (CustomerImfo) that has a subform within it (order). Within
that subform is another subform (OrderDetail). That subform (OrderDetail) is
displayed in Datasheet view. When I am entering customers and their
respective orders, the first order entered is fine with the "tab" field
orders correct. On the second and subsequent orders, when I go from the
Order form to the subform "OrderDetail", the curser goes to the wrong field...

I have created a form with a subform that displays the results of a query in
datasheet
view. I'd like to be able to expand subdatasheets for each record listed in
the subform datasheet.
The query itself has the "+" signs that allow me to see the subdatasheets.
However, when I view the same query via the subform, the "+"s are missing.
How can I get the "+"s to appear in the subform datasheet?

I have an Access 2000 form with a subform in Datasheet view.
When I click on an item in the header of the subform (the title at the top
of one of the columns), I'd like to be able to capture the fact that I'm
clicking in the header and not somewhere in the detail section.
How can I learn this?
TIA

This should be easy. I have 2 tables - CUST and SUBS, which have a 1 to
many relationship. I created a form to show fields from CUST and a subform
to show those in SUBS. The 2 tables are related on SUBSNO, and the data
source for each is the table (not a query). It behaves wonderfully, except
I can't seem to change the layout of the subform in design view. I make
changes and can see them in design view but in form view it reverts back...

I have a a parent form with a subform. The parent form has two command
buttons to change the subform view to single form view and datasheet view
respectively. I can't seem to get this to work. There is a menu item to
switch to datasheet view, but it won't go back to form view. The only way I
see so far is to open the subform by itself in design view, change the
default view, save & close, then set the sourceobject property in the main...

Using Access 97
I am trying to create a form that allows for user entry of search terms
and displays a table of results. I thought I could accomplish this using
a subform but it isn't quite doing what I want it to do.
What I have so far:
Fields to enter search terms
Subform bound to a query

First a quick background on the form:
I have a form that is normally viewed in Single form mode. It has a
subform on it that is in datasheet view. The main form is for work
orders and the subform is for parts used on the work order. On the main
form I have a LaborTotal (from main form), PartsTotal (from subform)
and TotalCost (which is Labor + Parts). All works fine as is.
Now to the question:
I have a button on my main form to browse...

Can anyone tell me if there is any way to change the default subform
view from datasheet to only show a single record at a time? Can this
be restricted in an application so that the user could only access a
single record at a time in the subform and not have access to datasheet
view in it?

Help
I built a form/subform/subsubform setup using the access forms
wizard. I have a table1 = parent, table2 = child, table3 =
(grandchild?). There will be multiple records in table2 that tie to
table1, and multiple records in table 3 that tie to table2. Both on
"1 to many" joins.
Each of the forms are bound to the fields in the respective tables.
The subform & subsubform are datasheet view. When I enter any data, I

I have a search form which contains a non-linked subform. When I fill the
criteria of my search and click the search button it returns the results in
the subform, datasheet view.
I then want to select/click on the row (record) on the datasheet and have
that record pop-up.
Any ideas?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
