Yes...
You ll have to make a backend((all tables)server) and x
frontends((quer ies,forms)clien ts)...
Try the guide in "Functions-Databasefunctio ns-Split Database" - remember
backup before going on...

Yes, that can be done with Access and thats the way to go. Clients can
link/import tables; database can be replicated and lots of other stuffs
can be done. Access is a neat little database for simple stuffs. And
well mentioned - backup the database file all the time. Now and then,
do compact/repair also.

What you describe: Access front-end (the User Interface: queries, forms,
reports, macros, and modules) and Jet Database Engine back-end (tables and
relationships), is called "multiuser" in the Access community.
There's an introductory presentation on Access in a Multiuser Environment
that I did for my user group that you can download from http://appdevissues.tripod.com. It will identify topics that I thought
worthwhile to discuss, and a bit more. The best collection of detailed
information and links on the subject of Access in the multiuser environment
is at MVP Tony Toews' site, http://www.granite.ab.ca/accsmstr.htm.

hi,
I was using Borland delphi earlier and it was realy easy when it comes to
Database oriented application Development. In delphi, it got a centralized
table handling module called "Data Module". In there we could put all data
connections, table and make it available throught out the application which
gives a centralized maintanance of data without redeclaring any objects for
each forms.
I want to know how could I make available the...

Hi everyone,
I would like to get your opinion on a technique I came up with when
faced with the problem of redundant code in every web method
(authentication, logging, exception handling). Normally, my web methods
would look something like this:

Centralized resource files
Hi,
We are considering to migrate our custom asp.net localization procedure, to
one that stored .Text properties of controls in a SQL database, towards the
usage of standard resources (hence .resx files). Plain Resx files do not seem
to be a very scalable solution: We have dozens of servers and we do not want
to access all servers to deploy files in case of minor changes in the
personalized text. So we need...

I have the task of creating several one-page websites for our subsidiaries. I
would like to use the MasterPage concept with this task. The sites will all
be separate site, located in their own folder. Essentially, I would like to
know if I can create a centralized Master Page and have it apply to multiple
web sites. Kind of like using CSS to change the look and feel of all your
page, except, the external style sheet would control all the...

Dear Friends,
We are developing an inventory maintenance project in C#.net 2005 with MSDE as back end.Data can be accessed by multiuser at the same time, because they are from a single centralized database.
Now, we are planning to implement audit trail to track which record is manipulated by which user.

I have a project to create a dashboard that will connect to existing systems as well as create new features based on combining data from the existing systems. For example, the dashboard will be able to generate "orders" containing data merged from "members" (MS Access DB), "employees" (MySQL DB) and "products" (flat file), and there will also be new attributes particular to "orders."
At first I thought it would be most efficient to have my...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
