Hi
First up, I am using MS Access 2002.
I have a database which records analyst rating changes for a list of
companies on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the database has been set
up (by my predecessor, I hasten to add) so that each day it creates a
copy of the record for each company, changes the date to today's date,
and prompts the user for any changes of ratings on that day. The
resulting data table grows by approx 600 records per...

Hey Folks:
Long time no see! Hope everyone is well.
I have an old mdb I'm upsizing to an adp. There is a button on a form
which executes code similar to the following (this is a search form
where sql is dynamically generated based on 1-7 criteria fields chosen
by the user):
strSQL = strSQLBase & strWhere & strOrder

I would like to create a query where one of the columns of the queries
comes from a combo list box on a form.
For example, if my table has the following fields:
id
name
interest1
interest2
interest3
my combo box would be a dropdown containing these choices:

I'm including both code and examples of query output. I appologize if
that makes this message longer than it should be.
Anyway, I need to change the query below into a pivot table query. I'm
having trouble doing it. Help!
Here is my code so far:
Sub OldRegionQuery()

A2003, but this behaviour also occurred during the same DAO process I'm
about to describe in A97.
I have a sub procedure which takes two arguments: a querydef name; and
an SQL statement constructed from the calling procedure and constructs
or modifies a querydef. The sub runs through the querydefs collection -
if it finds the querydef name argument, it takes the existing query and
modifies the SQL. If not found, a new querydef is...

I am trying to create a query that can be loaded as a querydef object
but not having to assign values to the parameters if I don't want to.
Normally when using a parameter query in VBA my code would go something
like this:
dim qry as dao.querydef
set qry = currentdb.querydefs("myquery")
qry.parameters("Par1") = "blah"

Any good advice to help solve this problem would be most welcome.
I can not open a recordset based on a query (called qryNoDateSetYet).
The qryNoDateSetYet uses another query within it called qryInputSat.
qryInputSat takes a parameter from a control on an open form.
I get the 3061 run-time error asking for the parameter.
How can I get the recordset to open? - it's driving me mad.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
