I have a user control with four option buttons depending which option button
is pressed I store a score into session object. On the load event of a
control the session object is set to 0. There is an optionchecked handler
that handles option1.checked,option2,checked etc . This is supposed to
update the sessionobject with a score ie 100
A beak point on the handler shows it is never reached. when this control is
placed on a page

Hello!
I am about to make a class/control that creates tabbing functionality. The
result is in HTML/CSS/JavaScript output.
My question is: Within the tabs I want to simply add user controls and
without loosing viewstate etc etc. How can this be done? What is best
practice?
I guess the answer for my question lies in how I design/develop the tab

Bakground: I have a webform (LoadCtl.aspx) which loads the user control to a
placeholder dynamically based on the ctlName querystring passed in the URL.
Webform (LoadCtl.aspx) also passes a variable (targetId) in to the
usercontrol (IntergySite.aspx) by calling its setter method.
Currently, I am using if-then-else and hardcoded the User Control Object to
do casting and call the setter method.
Question: Is there any way I could load,...

Ok, I've been looking through the .NET SDK docs and stuff.
I'm wondering if you can provide a control extender that does generic
validation or functionality just by dropping it on the form. For instance,
using the IExtenderProvider interface, you can specify properties, but there
is nothing documented about linking into a control's events.
For instance, in my application, there are specific formatting,
functionality and validation for...

Hello,
Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

I have a "master" composite control which, in turn, holds an instance of a "detail" composite control (the "master" control will
ultimately contain multiple instances of the "detail" control, but I'm keeping things simple to try and figure out what's going
wrong). The master control supports databinding.
Upon postback, the detail control is not retrieving its state from ViewState after it is created and added to the master control
during...

Hello
Is it possible to get a control (e.g. a checkbox) and make a Graphics object
or a Bitmap object of current face of the control?
I want to implement Sparse property for a ColumnStyle so I need above
functionality.

Hi,
Outline of problem:
I've built a set of user controls that are used to output questions for a
survey and gather the responses using simple radio buttons.
I'm adding an optional textbox to the question control to allow individual
typed responses per question. I've got a maximum length to enforce which
matches the underlying data table design.

I want to add the security question and answer security feature to the
ChangePassword control. I am aware that this functionality is built into the
PasswordRecovery tool. I have implemented the PasswordRecovery with a
Password reset required; a temporary password is sent to the account on
file. I want an extra layer of security to accommodate the very unlikely
contingency that someone's e-mail account is compromised. Challenging with
the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
