Combo box for a parameter query

Does anyone know how to setup a parameter query, which allows the user
to choose from a combo box? TIA

Have a small form with the Combo Box and whatever other inputs may be
necessary....
and a "go" button....
The query then gets the value from the combobox on the form.....
The key is to have the button run the query, and if you want - hide the
form...don't close it or the query will error out.

Here's something I put together that may give you some ideas about
making time periods and other criteria dynamic.

The free downloadable sample database at www.bullschmidt.com/access
uses the query by form concept so that on the invoices dialog one can
optionally choose a rep, a customer, and perhaps a date range, click on
a button that says "Input," and then have the invoice form open up
showing all the invoices that match the criteria.

I'm using Access 2000. I currently have a report being generated using the results of a query by form. The form used for this query is an unbound form, frmListDialog. frmListDialog contains two unbound text boxes, txtExamTitle and txtExamNumber. The user enters either the exam title in txtExamTitle or the exam number in txtExamNumber as a parameter for the query. This is currently working fine, however because the exam titles are...

Hi there, I am working on a form that uses 3 text boxes and 3 combo boxes. When any data is entered into any of these, I click a command button and this requeries a sub query in the form and displays data dependent on what has been typed in. After having trouble with populating my second combo box (I eventually populated it by putting the fields for both combo boxes in 1 separate query) I am now having problems with the 3rd one and am...

Hello Guys. In a form I created a listbox which looks up the values of a table. I want: 1) ..to create a query where a parameter will be needed in order to be loaded. But I do not want to write the parameter, I want to select a row from the listbox and after clicking in a button, the query to automatically take the current value of listbox as the needed parameter and then to load the query. (The Inputbox for "Enter Parameter" will...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
