saving database to winzip file

So I am Microsoft Access User, learning as I go. I need to send a
database back to its author for some adjustments. For security and due
to the size of this database I need to send it as a winzip file. I have
attempted to send it via File, then send to email recipient but it
offers the following formats only: HTML, EXCEL, TEXT FILES, RICH TEXT.
So I took another route, and created a new zip file from my desktop and
attempted to copy the database into the file. This copies as an HTML
File and will not email. Can anyone offer any suggestions or help?
Thanks

You cannot save an MDB file as something else from within that file as you
can a Word document. Those choices you saw were for exporting the current
*object* in the db window, not for the entire MDB file.

To do what you want close Access entirely and do this from the file system
(Windows explorer).

Yep.

Go to Windows Explorer and find your MDB file. Right-click on it and
select Winzip/Zip and Email (or some variation of that).

Is there anyone with experience using the Winzip command line add-in? I can't get it to create the zip file with a space in the file name. Using: RetValue = Shell("C:\winzip\wzzip.exe C:\MyFolder\My ZipFile.Zip C:\MyOtherFolder\MyFile.mdb") What is the syntax when you want a space in the zipfile file name?

No way this should be that difficult... I have a program that does a file watch on a folder. When a file is created in this folder, I simply want to zip it up using WinZip (with the command line version of WinZip). I have been unable to do so with any success. I have been using DTE.ExecuteCommand to try and get this working but the error "Command "wzzip.exe" is not valid." keeps popping up.

Hi all, I regularly use FTP to place Self Extracting Zip files on the web for remote users to update their datafiles. Works very nicely. I have automated the creation of the initial zip file ( update.zip ), and can automate the FTP'ing of the SE zip file to the update site. I have, as yet, been unable to find a way of automating the creation of a SE zip file from the initial update.zip. I have performed a rather

I'm a little stumped here, and it might be beyond the scope of this forum - but any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a database being used across remote offices with no network, so I'm using a system of FTP routines and a lock file to allow the users to do updates and get and put the latest database backend using FTP to a secure web server. Sounds a little funky, but the system actually works great - on some computers - but...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
