Get current record and resync

The documentation for the resync method shows that it can work with a
"Record" object. How do I get just the current record displayed in a
form?

CurrentRecord returns a long number, not an actual object. Anyone know
of a method that allows me to use this number to index into a recordset
and get an actual Record object that I can call resync on?

Nevermind, found some constants for use with ADO that aren't documented
in Access VB help files:

Recordset.Resyn c a*dAffectCurren t,adResyncAllVa lu*es

I have a subform which is in Continuous Forms view. I have added a button to the bottom of the page to move to the next record using the button wizard (result: DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNext). I want all of the controls in whatever is the CURRENT record to have it's data bolded on the screen. (Question #1: Is there a SIMPLE way to refer to the Current Record?) I've been trying to use a Bookmark to specify the current record, but it

Hi, I have a stored procedure as a recordsource for a form, taking a parameter from another form, it displays records that are already present without any problems. I had to add a resync command to allow edits, but it works ok for now. The problem is when creating new records. If I open the form with datamode acFormAdd, I get the blank record fine, I can populate the fields ok. but when I come to close the record, I get the error

Hi I've been using the 2 year old link below to repeat values from previous record field into current corresponding field. It's worked fine for text but the last piece of advice was to use the same logic for a date field. i.e. theValue.defaultvalue = "#" & theValue.value & "#" I can't get this to work for some reason and I can't figure out why. Can anyone out there help? Thanks Repeat value of previous record field into current...

I imported an Access database, created a dataset, added a bindingsource; and have been happily coding away - couldn't be easier. My problems started when I added a column to the database - I can't find a way to tell Visual Studio to "resync" the imported dataset and the external DB! I tried deleting the dataset, Visual Studio just crashed. Attempted to create another Dataset, discovered it crashed in the middle of an operation, and...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
