wierd export excel apostrophe problem

Hi all

Every time I export a table into an excel spreadsheet. It has a
leading apostrophe on every cells. This drive me nut. I have to do a
work around by export table into a txt file than import in excel to get
rid of the apostrophe.
It has been happen about two months now before it didn't do
that. It is only happen when I have text data type in the table. If I
change to number data type then the problem go away but most of my
tables have text data type.
After going through the archive, apostrophe mark is how excel
recognize as text data type. But it should remember hidden though.
Is there a seeting for me to get rid of the apostrophe?
Do I reall need to use VBA for this simple problem.

Hi, I have a webpage that is taking input from a form and using it as criteria to select data out of an sql database. The page displays an html table with the results. The user can then click a button "excel" to open or save the file as an excel document. This works, and everything in the excel document is formatted fine except for the first column which in this case is "Part Number". The problem is that this part number: 883100105100...

I am trying to export my access 2002 table to excel using transfer spreadsheet. It works fine but in excel, there is an apostrophe before each word in all cells. How can I avoid this? I tried exporting using a lower version and it works but then the memo fields are truncated. How can I fix this, or how can I export to excel using another method so these aposts. are not there.

I've got my code working so that it'll count the number of columns in the table and move across (eg Range A-P and then range Q-W). Problem is when I get to the end of the single letters and get into AA etc. Have got an idea of how I could do it by using Chr() and having an ongoing counter which is divided by 26 when it goes past Z to work out location. However, I'd dearly like there to be an easier way. Any ideas? Another problem I'm...

Hi, One of my clients has a strange problem with my webapplication which I think may be related to some firewall setting on his computer. On several screens in the application, it is possible to click on an icon to start an export of data to Excel. The click on the icon triggers a form submit (a post, not a get) to a blank page, thereby passing the SQL select statement to use for the Excel export. I've never had any problem reports...

Hi and TIA! I have an export procedure that exports my data from my datagrids to excel. The problem is that I lose leading zero's cause excel removes them and doesn't treat them as text. Is it possible to design an excel template file, place it in my shared network folder and have the procedure write data to the template file? I've thought of reading the recordset line by line, field by field and concatenating an apostrophe at the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
