Dear reader,

Is there somebody who can tell me the VBA code for the following action?

To import data from an Excel sheet by referring to a cell name in the Excel
sheet.

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards,

You mean you want to read the value from a specific cell? See whether
http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0006.htm at "The Access Web" helps.

Hello All, Excellent info here Thanks! I am very new to using access in general and I am on a learning curve. I'm trying to import an excel workbook (with worksheets) into an access db via a macro. (I'll get to using VB later on). What I would like to do is import a single workbook w/three seperate worksheets into three seperate access tables AND truncate the time stamp that is used in the excell sheet via a macro.

I am currently developing an ASP.NET 2.0 app part of the app will involve collecting a large amount of data offline and then importing this data into the system My question is what will be more effiecient from a system resources/performance point of view. If I go down the Excel route then for every sheet parsed (and there could be up to 20 of them) I will have check 5400 cells to see if there is any data in them. If I use an XML file...

The data in Excel is not in structured columns but can exist everywhere in the workbook. For example if I am supposed to import a person and all his/her cars which exist in a workbook I want to be able to create an import protocol and specify...

I have some excel sheets that I would like to manage in access. I've created the access tables and relationships; the excel sheet is only one table and with duplicate data, I'd like to make sure that when I import the sheet, the proper tables are filled correctly. For example, the excel sheet is in the format clientID Name phone City Country In acces, I have a "Cities" table and a "Coutries" table, with the fields (e.g. for cities) ID...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
