I have a form set to Single Form mode with which I can cycle through the
records in a table via Next and Previous buttons. To avoid users pressing
the Previous button on the first record and the Next button on the last
record, I would like to disable one or both buttons when the first and/or
last record is displayed. I am not sure how to do this when the
RecordSource is simply the table.
I know that if the record source were a...

First issue:
When using ADPs you no longer have the ability to issue a me.refresh to
save the current record on a form (the me.refresh does a requery in an
ADP).
We usually do this before calling up another form or report that uses
some of the same data.
We came up with a work around that saves the current record's ID, does a

Hi all,
Im opening a bound form, targetForm from other forms, but want close it if
there's no records in it. Would be good if I could do this from within the
targetForm, since I open it from various activities.
I have already tried to close it from the onOpen event of targetForm but
without success.
Any advice welcome.
Thanks,

---Report the current filtered records from a Form---
Hello All,
I've seen this topic discussed before, but the solution described then
doesn't work in my particular case.
My Config: Access 2002 front-end using SQL Server 2000 (MSDE actually)
via ADP/ADE Access Data Project.

Hi,
I'm using this code to pass "codice cliente" values from a form1 to
form2.
Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)
Me.RecordsetClone.FindFirst "=" & Forms!
!
If Me.RecordsetClone.NoMatch Then
Me.RecordsetClone.AddNew
Me.RecordsetClone! = Forms!

Hi,
I am trying to total a column (Shift1) in a subform (continous forms)
from the after update event of the (Shift1) column control within the
subform. This column stores shift codes, I want to sum the hours
associated with these shift codes from the RosterShifts Table.
ie. Shift1 may = D
The D shift is 8 hours long
I am using Dictionary objects within the form as suggested by Gord,

I've pretty much always applied a filter to a form to go to a specific
record - filtering out all but the desired record. Am looking for code
used to move to a specific record when keyfield value is known.
This would leave my form in a state that PGUP and PGDN would
still navigate up 'n down the dynaset. Seeking simplest methods.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Adolph will...
