MS Access 2003 - Error Handlers (Add-ins)

Hi All,

Is anyone using an error handler for MS Access 2003?

I went looking for an error handler add-in for MS Access 2003 and found "123
Error Handler Wizard" from: aadconsulting.c om
http://www.aadconsulting.com/123erhnd.html

Is anyone using this or what are you using?

All comments welcome!

I've seen a few of these around for free in the form of add-ins. I wrote a
VB routine once that did basically this same thing. Running the routine
ended up being more trouble then it was worth, I think, but ymmv. -- Mike

If you just inheirited a database with lots of code but absolutely no
error-handling, it might be useful. But then, how do you create a large
database that doesn't already have some error-handling? Save your $19.95
and do the work yourself. With quit copy and paste, and some edit/replace,
you could have it done in no time.

Take a look at MZ Tools. http://www.mztools.com/

It does that and far, far more, and it's free.

Greetings, I'm having problems with the use of an Access 2003 Add-In on Windows XP Pro. Administrative-level users have no problems running the Add-In, but those users with restricted rights on the same computer can't use the Add-In. We are cloning a setup to copy to multiple identical machines, and I just want to install the Add-In to be available to All Users without fiddling with rights and manually installing for each person (and

I've made a program sorting incomming mail in public folder. The function runs every minute by using the form.timer event. In Access XP it runs for weeks, no problem. Access 2003 runs the same code for 6 hours and stops. I've found the problem to be the Set MySession = CreateObject("MAPI.Session")

Hello world: I am borrowing my daughter's laptop to make a presentation to a customer next week. It has Windows XP Pro, SP2 and Office 2003 Pro, SP1 on it. When I open a database in Access, I get the above error message. When I click "Cancel" a bunch of times, it finally goes away. Everything seems to work in my Access app, which is based upon DAO. I have tried repairing the Office 2003, and even reinstalling Office 2003....

I have 2 users who ran into a problem with a data entry program (written in Access 2003). One user was keying into one of the forms when she got the message "ACCESS Error Number: 3218 Could not update; currently locked'. About the same time, another user was keying records into a 2nd form. Even though they were on different forms, they would have added records to the same table. The 2nd user had tried to add about 28 records, the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
