Hi
I'm wanting some help on how to create a message that automatically
pops up on opening an access form, that says for example ' Remember to
......'. I've been able to this by assigning a macro then a command
button but need the message to be displayed as soon as the form is
opened by the user.
I'm using access 2003 - not an programming expert therefore would
appreciate some simple instructions or a good website

Put the following code in the Open event of your form:
MsgBox "Remember To ............",, "Reminder"
When you go to open the report, the message box will appear first. When you
click OK on the message box, the form will then open.

Thank you for your help
Would you be able to advise how to do this once the form is actually
opened i.e. once the form is displayed you then see the message. I've
set the on open to display the message still linking it to the macro i
set up.

I have a need to create a database, and then populate it. However, the
code below doesn't work as I hoped it might (it creates the table in
the "master" database, which is Not A Good Thing). I know already
(thanks Tony!) that if you use Dynamic SQL for the USE command, then
the subsequent operations need to be Dynamic SQL as well, which is a
pity since there are over 11,000 lines of it and I don't really fancy
debugging it!

I was just playing around in IDLE at the interactive prompt and typed
in dir({}) for the fun of it. I was quite surprised to see a pop
method defined there. I mean is that a misnomer or what? From the
literature, pop is supposed to be an operation defined for a stack
data structure. A stack is defined to be an "ordered" list data
structure. Dictionaries in Python have no order but are sequences.
