I am trying to install Access XP, but do not want to remove MS Office
2000. I get the following message:
Setup has detected that you have one or more of the following features
installed: cc;Mail, Microsoft Mail, Net Folders, Microsoft Fac, or
WinFax Starter Edition (SE).
These features are no longer supported in Outlook. If you continue
the upgrade, you will no longer be able to use them. Would you like
to continue the upgrade to Outlook?
I am selecting the option to keep previous version, but when this
message comes up and I click the back button, I noticed that Outlook
is unchecked. I had it check to keep it. So I check it again, but
still get this message. I have to keep Outlook 2000 for now because
of the calendar sharing in this office. I had no trouble when
installing Access XP on two other computers, but this one computer
will not work with me. I rebooted the computer, but still get the
message. 3 1561

Uninstall Office 2000 (make sure to keep copies of the Outlook .pst or

You must use different folders for the two, e.g.,

Uhh... I'm sorry, I made a mistake. It is not neccessary to uninstall
Office 2000. Just make sure that you install Access XP into a folder
that is different from the Office 2000 folder.

Hello folks,
Would love yo get all informed opinions and/or facts on the following:
Over the last few weeks I have spent quite a bit of time reviewing all
the Access and .NET stuff I could find on Microsoft.com. It's seems
harder and harder to find much of anything about Access as a primary
development platform. I am getting the uneasy feeling that Microsoft
is slowly phasing out Access.

I am concerned.
I have recently moved to A97 from Access 2.0 where I rolled out
runtime apps with the ADT. Now, the Office Pro Developer's
Edition with Access 97 is what I'm using. I find some unfriendly
behavior. I want (need) to find out what the pro's (like you guys)
are doing to circumvent some of the difficulties encountered when
rolling out A97 runtime apps into environments that either have or
may have in the future MS Access 97...

Can someone please explain to me why I can't get the MS Word Interop assembly
to work in my VS2005 project? For many people, they say they add the
reference and it works, however when I add the reference the application
can't find it. Not sure why it says the system cannot find the file when it
exists in that location? Please help, thanks in advance...

Hi all,
Using C#, I've created a simple wrapper class for using Excel. I have
Office Pro 2003 installed on my devel machine. The wrapper class works
great, reading and writing to/from Excel. To do this, I created a
reference to "Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library", and have a "using
Excel;" directive.
I decided to add a method for creating a TextBox using the
Shapes.AddTextBox method, which requires a

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
