Strange behaviour of an Microsoft Rich Textbox Control (6.0 SP4) on a subform Access 2000

Rich Text Box in Access form
Hello:
For example i have to tables in access: PERSON and ADDRESS in a one to
many relation.
And now i want to have a main PERSON form with a subform ADDRESS on
it.
No problem till now.
But if i place an ActiveX
Rich Text Box control (6.0 SP4) on a subform (even unbound) a strange
thing happen.
If i write first something in this RTF control (placed on subform) and
then i want to write something in a field from
person, situated on main form, NO INSERT is possible. It is possible
only to delete in this field.??????
If i write in RTF control and then i put the focus on a field in
subform going again on a field in main form and trying to
insert this time succeed.
Any idea why this happens, or how to correct it?

Best regards
Bogdan J

I am trying to return the vertical scroll position of a rich textbox control using Access 2000. It seems to work for the horizontal scroll bar, but not the vertical. Code follows: Option Explicit Private Declare Function GetScrollPos Lib "user32" (ByVal hwnd As Long, ByVal nBar As Long) As Long Private Declare Function GetFocus Lib "user32" () As Long Private Const SB_VERT = 0

Is there an editable RTF textbox control which allows the user to apply bold, italic, etc.? I tried the Microsoft Rich Textbox Control, but there doesn't seem to be a way to allow the user to change the formatting while typing text. Is there such a beast? Thanks, Neil

I am developing an app in VS2005 (actually in VB.NET but this question, I believe, would apply to any .NET language) that is used to design the contents of an XML file. One of potential items that would be in this XML file is a String property that contains the code for a VBScript. I have a separate form just for editing this script that uses a single Textbox. This Textbox has the AcceptsReturn, AcceptsTab and Multiline properties all set...

I'm having problems with an implementation of the Microsoft Rich Textbox Control 6.0 in an Access 2000 database. The form with the controls works fine except on two computers. On these computers, the form will only open if the MDB file is in an uncompiled state (implying that that computer has to be the one to compile it). Otherwise, the form doesn't open, and the user gets error 2501 ("The OpenForm action was canceled"). Furthermore, once...

I am having trouble using long dashes (Em dashes) with the Microsoft Rich Textbox 6.0 control. Whenever I paste them in, the control converts them to hyphens. I have found it is the same with the Total Access Memo control by FMS. I have even inserted the \emdash code directly into the rich text code, but with the same results. Searching Google Groups, I came across a posting by someone who experienced the same thing, but noted that the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
