I am in the design phase of a new database and am having a devil of a
time with a subform.
I have three tables that relate to problem - Suppliers tbl, Customers
tbl and a SuppliersCustomers tbl. The intent is to have the user enter
in spend information by customer with each supplier. Sounds simple
enough right?
The common fields in each table are as follows:

I have a unbound main form with unbound fields that correspond to
fields on a bound data sheet subform. As you enter data on the
subform, the corresponding fields get updated through code (e.g.
Me. = Forms!!) All
of the new records on the subform are related through the "RunNumber"
on the main form. The main form also subtotals the weights on the
subform to allow the user to double check totals against paperwork.
When the user wants to...

I am designing a database which needs approximately 50 fields per
record. The database user requires data entry to be via a single
screen.
If I follow good database design practice and split the 50 fields into
several smaller tables, is there any other way to enter the data on the
single data entry screen other than having several subforms with the
individual tables as their recordsource?

I am using Access 2002 and have two tables (Main and Actions) linked
(in Relationships) on one field "CAL_ID" (primary key in Main Table).
Main Table is a list of equipment. Actions Table lists actions
performed on these pieces of equipment (calibration, cleaning, etc.) so
there are many records per every one record in the Main Table.
I have a form based on Main Table, containing a subform for Actions
Table. This is used for data...

I'm running Access 97 and have a sub-form within a main form. The subform
allows data entry by the user. Now, I would also like to enter a row from a
macro, but when I try, the entry always goes into the first row even if
there has been a user entry there. Any suggestions on how I can do this?
Thanks.

I have a main form with a subform and a second subform nested to the first subform. The data entry property for all three forms (main, subform and sub-subform) is set to "yes" because I am intending this form to be used for data entry only. The main form has a combo box from which the user can select a lake. The first subform allows the user to enter survey data for the lake. The sub-subform allows the user to enter additional (plant...

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some advice on whether I should break the
normalization rule. Normally, I would not consider it, but this seems
to be a special case.
I have created an "Outcomes Database" used to store response data
from measures/ questionnaires for a longitudinal health study. It is
essentially derived from Duane Hookom's Survey Database (thanks
Duane!!!), with many modifications added to fit the needs of my lab.

HI!!!
I am in the process of building an Accounting Database. I have two tables. The first table is the Journal Entry Header and the second table contains the Journal Entry Details (the accounts to debit and credit as well as the debit and credits themselves). Its a basic one to many relationship.
I have both tables on a form. The Journal Entry Header is on top and the Journal Entry Details is the subform. Is there a way I can force the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
