I Cannot Copy Records

HB2
I use to be able to highlight several records in a table, copy them
and paste new records. Now when I right click the records the copy
and paste functions are disabled. How do I enable them?

Thanks

I can't reproduce your problem using Access 2003.

I copied the structure of an existing table, pasted it with a new name, then
opened the original table highlighted 4 records, right-clicked, did a copy,
then opened the new table, placed the cursor in the first record, on the
Edit menu, did a Paste, and the records were pasted in.

Perhaps if you gave us a bit more detail, someone could make useful
suggestions.

For example: What Access version, what SP level, have you ever been able to
do what you cannot now do in this database with this version of Access, if
so, what changed in your database, in your system between then and now?

I have a very specific problem to solve but I cannot find a data structure for it. I don't know if I am posting on the good newsgroup but I cannot find a software.design group. Hello All, I have a form (FrmA) with a subform (SubFrmB) embedded in it. SubFrmB also has a subform embedded in it (SubFrmC) The form's recordsource is based on a table (TblA). SubFrmB's recordsource is also based on a table (TblB). SubFrmC's recordsource is also based on a table (TblC). There is a one-to-many relationship between TblA (one) and TblB (many).

Hi, I need a SECURE way to copy parts of a file. I'm having files which contains a whole bunch of records. In one 'fysical' file I'm having one or more logical files. What I need to do is to copy a logical file (a part of the fysical file) into a new file. But the 'big' problem is: these records contains bankstatements, so I can't take the risk that there would be a record missing, or even one little charachter. The copy I make has to...

I have a database with a Header table. Each record in tblHeader has two One-to-Many Relationships: with tblLines and tblKeys. The HeaderID field ties tblHeader to the other two tables. The data collected in tblHeader is simple: HeaderID (unique), a text description field, and a date field. I need to be able to copy header and it's related info. I have a form with a "Copy Source" combo box allowing the user to select a Header...

Hi, I have been successful copying a vba code from one of your posts on how to copy and paste a record by declaring the desired fields that needs to be copied in form's declaration and creating two button "copy" and "paste". I hope someone can help...I feel like I'm walking in the dark without a flashlight (I'm NOT a programmer but have been called to task to do some work in Access that is above my head). I have code that will successfully copy a record and append the information to a new record in the same table (parent table) within a form. However, there are related child tables with primary keys (set to Autonumber) stored in sub-forms. That information...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
