a2k recovered from corruption, missing relationships

Just had a minor mishap which has meant starting a new database and
importing all objects. I did have the option to import relationships ticked
but these have not come over.

The prospect of recreating the contents of the relationship window is
freaking me out.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Understandable.

Use the sysrels utility at the following location to copy the table relationships
layout window
http://www.trigeminal.com/lang/1033/...p?ItemID=12#12
Or use Save Restore Modify Relationship Window at
http://www.lebans.com/saverelationshipview.htm

You will likely have to recreate the relationships themselves though. You likely
could do that programmaticall y by running through the relationships collection.

Martin,

I am in business to provide customers with a resource for help with Access. I
can recreate the relationships in your database for you. I will provide a map of
all the tables in your database showing all the fields in each table, all the
relationships that exist between the tables and the type of each relationship. I
will then physically create all the relationships shown on the map. The tables
on the map will be arranged according to the logical processes in your database.
The map will serve you as excellent documentation of the design of your tables.
Email me at my email address below if you would like my help.

Hello, all. So we're all happy with Access. Or Access is "good enough" with most of our applications. I built a split database here at work that has about seven users who are on pretty much the entire workday. The backend is on the server with each client having a frontend. I've spent the past couple days researching corruption because I am constantly restoring backed up copies of my backend. Usually once a week I have to restore...

I have read a lot on this subject on newsgroups and other access related websites on data corruption, but since we are still not able to isolate the problem – I am posting this detailed explanation of my problem: We have a 23 user environment with Windows advanced server and windows 2000 clients with access 2002 running on all clients in a FE/BE format. The problem is our database gets corrupted almost 3-6 times on a busy day (lot of...

Hi! I have a reoccuring problem with one of my databases where forms will occasionally become corrupted. Since I have backup copies of my production databases, it is easy to recover from using the 'standard' methodology discussed in the various threads that address this issue. However, I would like to prevent the problem from happening in the first place. This has occured to different forms in my database and it strikes

Hello Access gurus, I'm helping out a friend who's a small business owner. The software he uses to run his shop uses an Access backend. We recently had some huge headaches w/DB corruption. We had to send the main mdb file back to the vendor, who had to send it to an outside company in order to get it fixed. When they did this, we were told that it could be days until we'd get it back. We had a backup that was 3 days old at that...

I've got a system that's been corrupting repeatedly recently and I'm having trouble tracking down the cause. I've done as much reading as I can so far, but am starting to get lost as most of the common causes/solutions don't seem to apply. Particulars: Access 97 recently converted to 2003 (started life in 2.0). Corruption did start after the 2003 upgrade, which is in prep for converting to SQL Server.

Howdy! I have an Access 2003 SP1 where data tables reside on a server & each workstation runs the front end locally. All 5 users are on the same version of Access. We've been having problems on our main data entry form where information input for one record will suddenly attach itself to some other record. Then, once it starts doing this, it seems all users have the same problem. After an exhaustive search of the main table, I found a...

Since upgrading one of my clients from A97/W2000 to A2003/XP they have suffered no end of data corruption problems, mainly involving one of the main tables. The corruption can result in one record's fields turning into chinese characters. On running the compact/repair I can see that the corruption may be deeper than I expected because sometimes indexes are missing and need to be replaced. I used to think that overuse of 'ctrl-alt-delete'...

Please forgive me, this is a long one. My 11-user Access 2000 database is having recurring corruption problems. The symptoms include the following: 1) corrupted fields in recently created or accessed records 2) incorrectly linked records via primary and foreign keys (looking at the tables displays the correct key number but when filtered it links to a different number). 3) truncating of text entered in a memo field

I have an Access 2003 data file that has now corrupted twice in a week. The database is extremely simple with one main data table and a few lookup tables. The lookup tables are linked to the main table via relationships. Each user has their own copy of the frontend which links back to the data file on the server. The corrupted data file repairs OK but on both occasions 2 relationships have disappeared in the Relationships Window. When...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
