Convert embedded Word docs to linked

I have a table with about 5000 records. Each record has an OLE object (named
OLE1) that is an embedded Word document. I'd like some help writing a
procedure to loop through all records and save each embedded Word doc to a
separate word file. Then, I'll change the database to use the external
files. Each record also has a field named "CaseNumber " which should be used
for the filename.
Thanks,
Fred

I have an application in ASP that exports to Word using the Response.ContentType method. The application references another ASP page through the img tag that uses a Response.BinaryWrite (of an img content type) for its output. In other words: App A.ASP contains the code: <%Response.ContentType = "application/vnd-msword"%> <img src="B.ASP">

I am currently trying to replace certain strings, not single characters, with other strings inside a word document which is then sent to a browser as a binary file. Right now, I read in the word file, convert the FileStream into a string using Unicode encoding, then do a replace, then convert the string back to a byte using Unicode encoding which i then Response.WriteBinary(bytes) to the browser. This works fine although the actual...

I need to convert a 17mb access 2000 db to Oracle and house it in a Citrix farm. The issue: we have never converted an Access Db to Oracle but can probably use Oracle's Workbench to assist with this. Also - the citrix folks do not want us to keep the FE in Access as the queries and other activities consume a lot of power. The users will be in 3 different offices across the globe all accessing the 1 Oracle DB in Citrix. Does anyone have...

I have a problem with a mail merge procedure I used to use with Access '97. We recently converted to Office XP (2002) and I now have an issue I am unfamilliar with and have been unable to resolve. I am trying to merge individual records into seperate mail merge word docs. In the past I linked my word files directly to the tables and then simply changed the QueryString of the merge file for the particular record I need to create a...

I really need some help with langauge conversion to HTML. My translators are translating into Word and I need to convert Word to HTML. It's been awhile since I've worked with Unicode and know that not all the fonts being used are unicode. Is there a way to strip all the junk out of the MS Word filtered (yeah right) HTML. All I want are the basic formatting tags no spans, fonts, divs, css, but I don't want to lose any language identification...

There are a few guarantees I exploit in the C Standard. For instance, I might write (unsigned)-1 to get the maximum value for an unsigned integer. Also, I might rely on things such as: memset(data,-1,sizeof data)

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
