Photodraw filter and MS Access 2000 error

Jim
Hello,

I am maintaining an Access 2000 database for many users that uses an
image control to display JPG, GIF and PNG files. One and only one user
in particular continues to get an error message of "The PhotoDraw MIX
file import filter couldn't load. Try reinstalling Microsoft Office to
fix this problem." This error happens when the database first starts
and everything seems fine thereafter. There was a previous thread on
this (2002-06-20) that was never answered so with a little help,
perhaps this can be solved once and for all.

Researching on Microsoft's web site, I found references to the fact
that multiple versions of the C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt\ Fpx32.flt exist and upgrading to a more
recent version may solve this problem (see
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d...s/35t4_5.mspx).

My question is if the user with problems has Fpx32.flt version
4.0.0.1129, is this the most current and up to date? My computer
doesn't have this file on it at all nor do I have the version of
Office with the third Photodraw CD. If it is not up to date, any help
in forwarding the correct file would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

Hello, I have a problem with field filtering between an Access 2000 Project form (the application is called CELDT), and the report that shows the results of the filter. Both the form and the report are based on the same View addressed in the Record Source of both as 'dbo.CLMain_vw'. The View resides in a SQL Server 2000 database. There are two different problems I am having with filtering: The first involves filtering in the form by date...

Is it possible to use the built-in filter functions (ie. "Filter by Selection", etc..) when a form's recordsource has been set to a recordset object during the load event. When I try to do this, I receive the message "Cannot apply filter on one or more fields specified in the filter property". here is the code for the recordset creation: Set conn = New ADODB.Connection Set rsSQL = New ADODB.Recordset

In Access97 I was able to have an advance filter on a form that had a Like statement so when you applied the filter EACH time it would asked for the criteria. In 2000 the same filter doesn't asked for the criteria after the first time you apply it. Is there a beter way of doing this? TIA

I am using Access 2000. I am trying to summarize numeric data from a large database. The problem is that I need the summarization functions to ignore "junk" data, defined in a couple ways. Assume an excerpt of the database table looks like this: Lot SerialNumber Status Error 101 001 Good .3 002 Good .2 003 Mach Fail .4

Is there a way to add an If Statement to the following code so if data in a field equals "x" it will launch one report and if it equals "y" it would open another report. Anyone know how to modify this? Private Sub cmdPreview_Click() On Error GoTo Err_Handler 'Purpose: Open the report filtered to the items selected in the list box. 'Author: Allen J Browne, 2004. http://allenbrowne.com Dim varItem As Variant 'Selected items

Hi all, I have a funny issue. I have a stored procedure that opens up as a datasheet. User can use the filter by selection option in Access to filter records. For some reson, some of the columns cannot get filtered. I get an error "Cannot apply filter on one or more fields specified in the filter property". However, if I sort the stored procedure after opening it, then I am able to filter it. I tried removing the dbo. from the stored...

I recently tried to use code for "Use a multi-select list box to filter a report" from Allen Browne in my database. I was able to add the code and adapt it to my needs, however I am getting an error. I click Ok and the report opens. I look in the design view and the filter is there but the IN equals "" (it is blank, the values are not in there)

I have a database in MS Access 2000. I have a field that needs to be filtered repeatedly. Currently, after the field is filtered, the filter must be manually removed prior to filtering on that field again. Is there a way to clear a filter that is in place by simply filtering again on the same field? I believe that newer versions of Access may do this automatically, but I cannot find a way to accomplish this in Access 2000. Thanks for...

Good day all, I am working on a multi-select list box for a standard question checklist database and I am running into a syntax error in the code that I cannot seem to correct. I will also note that I am using Allen Browne's multi-select list box for a report as a guide. I should also note that my access skills are not the best so I may need some explaining on certain things. First let me give some background on the database: I have a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
