I would like to add filter functionality to my database whether
through the Main form or the subform. This question may be
rudimentary, yet I have not less experience with filtering data
outside from queries. Let me just add that Allen Browne excellent
article about this subject may not apply to this scenario on an
elementary level. (Here's the link to the article; Filter a Form on a
Field in a Subform -...

Hi to all,
I am displaying a list of records in a subform which is embedded in a
popup main form (in order to ensure that users close the form when
leaving it).
It seems to be impossible to delete a record in this subform.
When I switched modal off and tried to delete a record from the list,
I deleted a record on another form (below the popup form).

Hi,
I would like to have form with Tab Control with 3 pages. Each page in tab
control would contain text boxes from different sources (tables). On first
page would be text boxes from tblOne, second page from tblTwo, third page
from tblThree.
Tables are in relationship 'One to one' (design is ok, allready checked with
people on newsgroup).
1. Is it possible to have input like this on one form?
2. When I go to another page, record from...

Hi,
I am working on a genealogy form. The only table (so far) lists everybody
in the family, one record per person. Each record has an autonum ID.
The parent form (frmMainForm) displays the data in each record, which
includes the ID of the father and the mother (who also have records in the
table). One record per form.
I have a Tab Control in the form, and in one of the tabs I have a subform
(sfmSiblings) in which I wish to list...

I have a form with a child form. In the child form there is a list of
names that can grow quite large. On the parent form I want to display
the first name from the child form. I set up a test box that is
populated with the code
=subfrm_media_review_sec_party.Form!first_name & " " &
subfrm_media_review_sec_party.Form!last_name
It works except that when I flip through the names it populates the
parent form with the name of what ever...

Hi,
I have a 'main' form called frmIssues which has a subform control
(named linkIssuesDrug) containing the subform sfrmLink_Issues_Drugs.
A control button on the main form opens a pop-up form which allows me
to edit the record in the subform. What I want to happen is for
subform with the new edits to be updated on the main form when I close
the popup. I'm sure this is a very small bit of code in the the 'On
close' event for the popup...

I have a problem I just can't figure out. I have a form with a
subform, and the recordsource of the subform has criteria based on
some unbound fields in the parent form so that data in the parent form
affects data in the subform. I've had this type of setup often, but
I've run across a couple forms where this has caused an "enter
parameter value" pop up for each reference to the parent control in
the query when the main form is closed. ...

I have a form that does not have any bound fields. I want to open a subform on that form to a specific record based on the value of an unbound field on the main form. Obviously the subform is not linked to the main form by master/child fields.
I have done some tests. If I add a field to subform whose data source is the field from the main form that I am trying to link the subform with it does display the right information. If I open the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
