I have an AccessXP(A2000 mode) customer who says on one form the navigation
buttons do nothing when he clicks on any of the 5 but the navigation buttons
work on other forms. In my copy of the database the navigation buttons work fine
in the problem form. I have confidence in what he is telling me! Because of
distance, I can not go on site. Does any one have any thoughts on this?
Thanks!

This is a pretty elementary suggestion, but if he has no data in the table
behind that form, the navigation buttons will do nothing.
Also if the RecordSource on his copy of the form has somehow been set to a
blank string...
For remote trouble-shooting, I've found the Remote Assistance and Remote
Desktop options in Windows XP to be very useful - for older OSs you might
need something more like PC Anywhere or LapLink.

How do you navigate between screens in J2ME? I would like to navigate to the
next screen using the default emulator in KToolbar. Here is a snippit of my
commandAction method:
public void commandAction(Command c, Displayable s) {
if (c == mMenuCommand)
{
mMenuForm = new Form("SampleMIDlet");
final String menuItems = { "Games" , "Calculator", "Alarm Clock" };

Hi,
My first post here. I've found some serious accessibility flaws in the
Python 2.4 docs and wish they could be rectified over time. I'm very new to
Python and initially contacted docs at python org, However, I haven't gotten
a reply for a week or so, and figured out I could post here for a larger
audience, then.

A single form (i.e. no subforms) opening full screen, how can I get the
navigation buttons (Access built in) to be higher than the bottom of the
screen. It annoys the users - they go for the nav buttons and end up raising
the taskbar, which is set to autohide.
TIA, Mike MacSween

I am having some trouble with some old code revolving around custom
form navigation buttons. My main form has a sub-form with these custom
navigation buttons. In other words, the code should be modular and
work across forms and sub-forms. My previous code was taken from the
Access Expert Solutions 97 (Leszynski) many years ago. As my database
became more complex with multiple sub-forms and intricate combo boxes,
the code faltered.
Some...

Hello
I have a form to enter names and some other personal information.
When a name is entered, it is checked against existing records: maybe,
such name was entered before? If yes, user is notified and asked, would
you like to see the previous record? If user answers yes, form on the
screen is scrolled to the record with the same name. All works well,
apart from number of record between navigation buttons: it is still the
same number of...

Hello,
I have a main form that is maximized when my application loads; this
main form contains links to all other forms. I've had to specify the
Popup property of these other forms, so that they are not maximized
when they load. Unfortunately, this seems to have had the consequence
of removing them from the Windows taskbar, which makes navigating
between open forms more difficult.
How would you developers deal with navigation between...

Hi All,
When my users view a report the report is opened on their screen in
Print Preview.
In each report I have a customized ToolBar with navigation buttons to
go to the Next Page or Previous Page for previewing.
My users seem to prefer the buttons over the page control located at
the bottom left of the reports.

hi guys.
I'm trying to make a navigation menu with AS tweening. So far I have all 4 buttons and a graphic inside a movie clip named "logo_mc" with an instance name of "logo_mc".
I have managed to AS tween the movment of the logo_mc clip with each of the 4 buttons and position the x & y of the "logo_mc" accordingly. Though if I press any of the other button the logo_mc ends up moving in places on screen where I don't want them to go. Here...

Hello and TIA for your consideration.
I have created several db's for a non-profit and they want custom
navigation buttons to display "You are on the first record, last
record, etc". With this ng help I've created code for all except the
add new record command button.
If I create individual sub functions behind each form, no problem.
The problem is I am trying to create a re-usable module.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
