insert and show new record in another form (subform)

What I have is a point of sale system which works with a touch screen or
scanner (there is no keyboard attached to the computer, but I still can send
keystrokes through the application).

The main screen (register is plenty of command buttons that sends ascii
characters). It has a subform showing the detail of the sale. Every time I
scan a bar code I execute an INSERT SQL instruction to add the new Item to
the sale. This record is not shown unless I requery the recordset of the
subform. All this works smoothly!

The problem:

The subform which has the detailed records has to scroll itself in order to
show at the bottom the last item sold.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

Use the .GoToRecord method or action to move to the next or last record on
the form each time it is updated.

I'm having what seems to me to be an odd problem. Perhaps there is some explanation, but don't know at this point. Basically I have a form that tracks memberships and donations. The main form tracks the individual and the subform allows me to add donation amounts or membership fee payments. It's fairly basic. Well what I want to do is when I enter a new membership payment it looks to another table. If the person is currently a member,...

How do I use VBA to insert a *new* record into a subform? I have a master form with client information, and a sub form with billing information. I want to click on a button ("Add Data") and have a record inserted into the subform's table, with date created and some information from the main table inserted into the proper fields in the subform. After the record is inserted, the data entry operator enters a Date Of Service and a billing...

Hello Everyone, Access 2000, I have a main unbound form with a bound datasheet subform . The subform is bound to a query that returns records based on criteria in the main form. The user then double clicks a row on the datasheet subform to open yet another form bound to a table . These two forms are linked by the field. So far so good.

Hi: I have a sub form which i would like to show all the records selected from a table. There may well be over 100 of them. For reasons I cant fathom, the form will only show six, and then requires that you move using the record selection box to see any records below that. I would like the whole record set to be available using the vertical slider, since this is much more convenient for the user. Cab someone suggest what is wrong. The...

I have a form with a child form. In the child form there is a list of names that can grow quite large. On the parent form I want to display the first name from the child form. I set up a test box that is populated with the code =subfrm_media_review_sec_party.Form!first_name & " " & subfrm_media_review_sec_party.Form!last_name It works except that when I flip through the names it populates the parent form with the name of what ever...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
