I am in the middle of writing a system for a client who has Access 2000
installed on 8 PC's
I have Access 2002 and the system I have written relies on pivot tables to
display results. I now find that 2000 does not support them.
Is there a way (an add-in or something) that the client can get to display
pivot tables?
TIA

Ok. I upgraded to MS Access 2003 recently and now I am having great
heartache.
In Access 2002, when I opened a table to view the data, there were
wonderful little "plus" signs that I could click on for each record
that would open up the corresponding record in any linked table. I
could drill down and edit/add records in a most efficient and simple
manner.
In Access 2003, this is GONE! ARGHH!

Excel Pivot Tables differentiate between +0 (zero) and -0 (negative
zero)and now that I've moved over to Access 2002 (from 97) and I've
found the same thing.
However, I've used a Pivot Table to produce a summary across a
standard distribution (-1 to 1 in increments of 0.05) and this works
fine (both zeroes shown) but when I attempt to recreate this...

I have a reporting database that has a series of pre-defined Pivot Table
screens. What I would like to do is to enable users to be able to save their
own configurations. I found 2 ways of doing this. One involved saving the
Pivot Table XML, which seemed a great concept but one which seemed ot only
work on MS Access 2003 and not on Access 2002. The other method involved
having code to save the Pivot Table as a new form, and populating a...

I'm creating a pivot table using vb.net and the data is from sqlserver
(desktop). I have been successful at creating the pivot table, which includes
a 'date' column field. I'd like to group the date column field by months and
quarters, but can't come up with the correct code. Here is the code I've
written to create the pivot table. Any help to code grouping the date column
field would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry

Operating in A97.
I didn't receive much of a response conserning Pivot tables in Access.
Pivot tables are nice, but a CrossTab will work for me too.
Using a Pivot table, one is actually launching Excel for data viewing.
I'd prefer the user stay in Access. Creating dynamic crosstab queries
is pretty simple. The problem is that the column count may shrink or
grow depending on the filter.

I have a pivot query that is populated with rates returned based on options that user selects on a form.
My issue is:
They can either select one lender to see on the report, or a combination of multiple lenders. The pivot table then has the lender's name, as a name of the column heading. The thing is....I need the report to print me the column name (as a heading) and all the values of all the records under that heading (or lender).
But...

Hi all,
I created a pivot table that allowed users to select certain customers from a drop down list and display the relevant data - it worked fine but has now stopped allowing them to do that.
At the same time, I can no longer create a Pivot Table with page, row or column fileds. All of the Pivot Table menu items except Refresh Data have greyed out.
I've tried creating a new db with a simple table and pivot and it is the same issue, so...

I have a table with a lookup column referring to another table .
tblRooms has two fields, (Autonumber), and . The column I want to display is the RoomName column. If I have Bound Column = 1, and Column Count = 2, Column Widths 0cm;3cm I get the display I want.
However, if I change the Bound Column to 2, this changes the values displayed – I now get column 1 values (RoomID) displaying, regardless of what I set for the Column Count and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
