How can I get the data in a subform?

I made a form which as a subform on it.
The subform has two columns.

I want to access the column data in the subform through event control
for example, OnDblclick event. If the subform displays the table as
below.
Column A Column B
-------- ----------
1 Data A
2 Data B <- 2nd row
3 Data C
... ...
-----------------------

When a user double click the in 2nd row either column A or column B,
the code should get the value 2 or "Data B" and, and it'll search the
record using one of the values and open a form to display the record.

So far, I succeeded to open a form but could not get the value on the
column. I only can display the 1st record in the table.

You should post your code if you want someone to analyze it, but you can try
this:

DoCmd.OpenForm "", , , "[Column A]=" & Me![Column A]

We're using SQL Server 7 with an Access 2000 MDB as a front end with ODBC linked tables. I recently created a new set of tables for the app, and users are complaining that unsaved data is being lost when they move to a new record. This seems to be the case when there are multiple users. When there is a single user using it, we don't seem to have that problem. It seems that we had this problem when we first converted from an MDB back end...

I have a bound form and subform and am trying to enter the data in both forms programatically. The Linkmaster and Linkchild properties are set. My intent is to be able to look at the data before it is saved and then choose to save it or undo it. I have a Save button that just closes the form and a Cancel button that does an undo and then closes the form. I first enter data into the main form and then enter code into the subform. After the...

I have a form (frm_MAIN_RPT) that contains a combo box (Combo6) & subform (dbo_REQ_subform). The combo box is used to select the "cost center" data that will be displayed in the subform. From there, I have a button that runs a report based on which item I select in the subform. 1. The Combo Box correctly displays the list of cost centers within the combo box. 2. The subform, when opened separately, correctly displays the data for the...

I need an automated procedure to copy data from an Access table to a SQL Server table. Speed is important. What is the recommended technique? I can export the data from Access, copy it via FTP, then import it into SQL Server. I've tried that, and the speed is acceptable. It is an ugly solution, however, and I expect to find a better one -- preferably a solution better integrated with the Access RDBMS. I've tried using an ODBC...

I am trying to automatically transfer data from one textbox to another between subforms within a 'main' form. I put this code into the Gotfocus eventprocedure: Private Sub Date_GotFocus() If Len(Trim$(Me!.Value & "")) = 0 Then 'This checks for blank or space-filled date field - it will only transfer data if it has not already been entered. Me! = !!.!.! SendKeys "{F2}" SendKeys "{TAB}"

I have a form with several subforms. Users enter the data, then on the parent there is a command button that runs code to generate a .pdf document from a report based on the data they are working with. If a user enters data in a subform, then directly clicks the command button on the parent form, the data in the subform is not included in their document. I THOUGHT that as soon as focus left the subform, any pending changes to the data...

I have a problem I just can't figure out. I have a form with a subform, and the recordsource of the subform has criteria based on some unbound fields in the parent form so that data in the parent form affects data in the subform. I've had this type of setup often, but I've run across a couple forms where this has caused an "enter parameter value" pop up for each reference to the parent control in the query when the main form is closed. ...

I have a main form with a subform and a second subform nested to the first subform. The data entry property for all three forms (main, subform and sub-subform) is set to "yes" because I am intending this form to be used for data entry only. The main form has a combo box from which the user can select a lake. The first subform allows the user to enter survey data for the lake. The sub-subform allows the user to enter additional (plant...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
