Hello all,
Is there a way to setup an ms-access table so that when I enter
text in the 'datasheet' mode, it will automatically be converted
tp upper case. Or must I use a Form for this?

You can have the table display what you entered as upper case, but not convert it to upper
case. Also, it is bad form to enter data directly into the table. Tables are for storing
data only, the work should be done elsewhere.
To have the table display the text as upper case type
in the Format box for the field in table design view.

You have to use a form.
The table could be configured to format the *display* of the text to upper
case or it could be configured to reject the entry of lower case entries,
but it has no events that can be used to automatically do a conversion.

o.k. , it does work and it seems to be exactly what I wanted, but I am
a little confused from what you said. You said that I can't convert to
upper case. I added the ">" sign as you said, and now if I enter some
lower case characters and press 'enter' they do seem to appear as
upper case. So what exactly can't I do, I didn't get this comment ?
