ToolBar Problem !

When I start my Application I put the following code in the Main form
Load Event which switches off all the ToolBars so that nothing except
my form & it's controls are visible to the user.

............... ............... ............... .............
Private Sub Form_Load()
CurrentDb.Prope rties("StartupS howDBWindow") = False
'==== Hide the database window ======
'DoCmd.SelectOb ject acTable, , True
'DoCmd.RunComma nd acCmdWindowHide
'============== =============== =======
CommandBars.Act iveMenuBar.Enab led = False 'Turn Access' Menu Bar
OFF !!

End Sub
............... ............... ............... .............
My Problem:
----------
When I provide a Print Preview for any Report, the user does'nt know
how to close the report as there is no toolbar visible. I have shown
them to right-click on the report & click PRINT to print the report,
but to close the preview screen & return to the calling form ...

What are my options here ??

Can I provide a toolbar with just a Print & Close Button on this Print
Preview screen ?

Or is there any other easy way out ?

Thx & Best Rgds,
Prakash.

Yes you can. Create a custom toolbar with the standard print button and the
standard close button.

In your report's property sheet set the toolbar to the name of your custom
toolbar. That way it only appears when the report shows.

Should do the trick...

How can the toolbar and menubar be hidden in IE? When opening the window via javascript I can specify 'toolbar=no,menubar=no', which works fine. However if the window already exists how can I remove them? If the browser is Netscape I can use javascript: window.toolbar.visible = false; window.menubar.visible = false; but IE produces the error: "'window.toolbar.visible' is null or not an object".

Is there a way to create a custom IE toolbar with C# (or anything else in ..NET for that matter)? I have been looking all day and have had no luck finding a good place to start. I need to make a toolbar for a research project that does some things with existing code that we've written. We need to get working on making the toolbar *do things* but I can't even get started with making a basic toolbar. Any suggestions would be much...

I wanted to add a Combobox to a toolbar... Kind of the look you get on VisualStudio's toolbar. I've been able to find some VB 6 samples, but the placeholder option is no longer available for ToolbarButtons... Does anyone know how this could be done? Looking forward to hear from you,

I have an MS Access app with multiple forms. One of the forms has a Toolbar (MsComctlLib.Toolbar) and it works as advertised. I handle the buttons in the Toolbar1_ButtonClick event. I would like to be able to control the toolbar from another form. Forms!frmClipping!Toolbar1.Buttons(2).Clicked = True does not work. Does anybody have any ideas how to do this? Gerhard

Hi All, I've got a few toolbars in my application hosted in a ToolStripContainer. I have found a problem whereby the location of a toolbar is not restored when doing a LoadSettings if the toolbar is in the same ToolStripPanel as specified in the settings. For example, create a toolbar in ToolStripContainer.TopToolStripPanel and save settings. Drag to tool bar somewhere else within ToolStripContainer.TopToolStripPanel and then load...

Hello, i am using visual studio 2003 enterprise architect version. I am making apps for the .Net framework 1.1. While testing an interface, i discovered something strange. In this application we have a standard toolbar that is at the top of the form window. It contains about 8 buttons that use images from an imagelist. Sometimes we hide buttons thru the code. When a button is hidden, i assumed that it wasn't clickable. It appears

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
