Hi All - I'm looking to be pointed in the right direction here: I need
to develop a one-off process to extract a bunch of email from an
Outlook folder, The emails are machine generated, so are all of an
identical format. I need to write a program to read all the messages
from a folder, extract fields from them (from, to, subject, body) and
write those into an Access table.
Any pointers on the way to do this? I'm a Unix C++ programmer who
knows a little about Access programming, but I don't know how I would
programatically access an Outlook email folder. I'm guessing there's
some sort of object framework for it; where do I find out about that?

File-> Get External Data -> Link Tables ->Choose Type (MS Exchange) ->
Specify the profile you want to look at (If I remember correctly) then
select the folder you want. Then you can query it like a native
Access table and you're done.
Pieter,
Is there a Transfer method similar to TransferSpreads heet or TransferText to do
this?

Steve,
I suppose you could from within Access, since it would treat the
attached table as a normal linked table... Can't you just do something
like
DoCmdTransferSp readsheet..."ol kInBox" or some such thing? This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Dim oStores As Outlook.Folders
Dim oStore As Outlook.MAPIFolder

My C#.NET console app checks a public folder every 24 hours for incoming emails.
For each unread email in the folder, it copies any attachments to the network, then loads the contents of these files
into a SQL Server database, and marks the email as read.
My problem is that in the loop that checks for all the Unread emails in the folder,
as I spin through the loop, the number of unread items is being reset for every iteration.
So...

I have tried scripting this with rules and VBA, now trying with C# but still failing. (code is exploratory, so please excuse the terribleness)
maybe someone here will show me the error of my code...
sending an email by hand - everything works as expected (rules, VBA, etc are all applied).
sending an email from code (C#, external VBA, etc) has the messages saving in Sent Items regardless of any other settings or configurations (up to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
