MySQL- Arabic fonts

I have a mysql table which is populated with arabic data. I gave the charset as utf-8 and in phpmyadmin the values are shown in arabic. But when i query the db with a select statement and print the result array, i see all arabic data as ?????.

Could anyone help me in this matter

What is the charset of the script (screen) that prints the (Arabic) data?

Hi

U should set default character set to utf8. Go to Startup Variables tab and then choose advance tab . and then reset to Def. Char Set: to utf8

In HTML put

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

and after connecting to DB run this query

SET CHARACTER_SET_RESULTS=NULL

In PHP it will look like this..

$connection = mysql_connect("localhost", user, password);
mysql_select_db($database);
 
mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_RESULTS=NULL");

Can you pleas explain the meaning of this Query:
mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_RESULTS=NULL");
Do we have to excute this query for other languages like Hebrew ?
