16 New Member
1-i have a main form to record the transaction with sub form for the detail.
sub form has the details as under:

serviceid Description qty rate dis. total
shipment xyx 3 300 0 900
Certificate

after entry in transaction invoice is printed.

2-i have a shipment form with a sub form to record the items detail of the shipments.

now, challenge for the shipments main form is to accept the 3 records for the shipments certificates as given is transaction sub form. and similar for all available records.
hope i made my point :)

RaoAli,

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking. I'm not sure what the three records you are talking about come from.

Are you just trying to filter your form/subform based on the records associated with one transaction? With one invoice?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

I still don't understand what it is that you want to do.

I don't know what you mean when you say the form "accepts 3 records". I know this is a language issue, and once we figure out what you mean we can move forward.

So far, I have not seen any "3 records" anywhere. Just a value in a field that is the number three. I'm really trying to understand what it is that you are trying to do. The excel file did not help.

My sincerest apologies.

RaoAli,

Is your end goal to write the three records from the subform back into the database? Assuming this you have a main form that you create your initial transaction in, are you attempting to split the quantity of the order into three separate records? If so could you please give us a bit more detail on how the information is linked? I am sure the excel preview makes since to you but without us knowing the flow of your data it is hard for us to interpret the concept.

yes i have sorted out this, but could you please help me regarding this?
my form opens to new record.
1-to save the record with save button, jumping to new record and locking the saved record.
2-unlock the saved record with edit button and save n lock it again.
thank you for your earlier response.

could you please help me for this?
i have form with few tabs on it. The problem is that on enter (the last object like text book on the form), control moves to new record instead going to object on tab.
thank you for all your support :)
