It means that the request could not be completed within the given time.

When you try to ping other PC, the ping command tries to send data to the other PC and keeps trying until it is successfull. However, if there is no success at all within the specified time, the command fails and gives you error message "Request time out"

Hope it helps

I bet you didn't google it, did you? Well, I did and here's one of the first items it found: HTTP Error 408 Request timeout Explained

And in combination with the word "ping", I found this: Ping

If you want further help, we'll have to know more about your setup ("We are using a *** Client and want to connect to a *** Server which is running ***...") and what exactly you are trying to do (as in: "I typed this command: *** and got this response: ***...").

Greetings,
Nepomuk

*EDIT* Hey, I just saw that you have double posted this question! That is clearly a violation of the Do not double post Guideline! Please do not do that.
