Syntax for schema: VS 2005 into XSD

Hi folks,

Quick question here, I am using VS 2005 to drag tables from a database into an XSD document to create a schema.. which works fine.

I intend on creating a dataset for this database in memory (faster processing etc. as this is a mobile app) and then diong some form of mydataset.save() into the corrosponding database.

Is there a good format to create this in? as I think I want to create a dataset to mimic my database. Should I create one "container" with lots of elements in it? or should I drop them all on individually?

Below are images in VS of the two types I'm talking about.

Container Idea:

Individual:

Ideally I want SQL Server to create me a schema for my whole database automatically so I know it works and is correct. But I can't seem to find a Menu > Create Schema type button :o(

Hello, markmcgookin!

I am not sure how this can be handled, but it's so funny that you have this here I just replied to a post where I mentioned a project currently on with Web Dev 2005 Express and SQL Express 2005 (There are videos, which I am sure you've seen), I thought to have seen XSD options there, perhaps you might want to try that.

Also I tried to modify your title to include VS 2005.

Hope you get it going nicely, let's compare notes if you are using Web Dev and SQL 2005 Express combo.

In a bit...
