I don't think, this belongs in the Cafe, rather in the Windows Forum, but nevertheless I did some research and all I could find is, that with "File -> New -> Window" you seem to get a blank Window. Not much of a keycode though...

May i ask why you can't use a different browser?

I've noticed this "feature" of ie before. I was going to suggest you try changing the home page option to blank page, but i just tried it and it didn't work. sorry. I couldn't get around it.

You could create a keyboard shortcut for Internet Explorer, this way IE will open on your home page

The problem is that i don't get a blank window when I do that, so if you get a blank one you manybe have the "Right" settings.

I can't change software on the computer becaus it's not mine and it's a process with a lot of steps, ofc I can break some rules but thats not good. :(

Ofc I wold like running Firefox or somthing else.

Why did I not think of set the home page to a blank one, now i can use the shortcut on the desktop, and with pods tip to create keyboard shortcut i can use another keyboard shortcut than ctrl+n to do this.

I noticed that if I have a IE window open the new windows are not opend until I target one of my open IE windows, if I'm loooking at the desktop or something. But I can now use Ctrl + Alt + n.

You could use the Portable Edition of Firefox then. No need to install, just put it on a USB drive and start it from there!

If you find the shortcut in your start menu, and set it's Properties, you could set it to Ctrl+Alt+n if you wanted. 1 extra key. This instance will be mostly independent of your old one; if that one crashes, it doesn't necessarily bring down the other instance too.
