In order for us to be able to help you, we'll need to know things like OS version and browser make/version. And tell us a bit about your machine, if you would.

Thanks.

As per the previous reply, require additional details.

Internet explorer version -
try reseting to default setting.

As I said in my original reply

"To find OS version in windows XP, right click My computer icon in start menu and click properties."

Now a point to be noted here is that if you click on My Computer's [IMG]SHORTCUT[/IMG] rather than on it's original icon, you will not get what you want. So if that is my computer's shortcut ,then search for original [whatever you call it] my computer icon and follow as above. You will find what you want.
################################################## ##########
ALTERNATIVE APPROACH -------->
Goto
[start]----->[all programs]----->[accessories]----->[system tools]----->[system information]

you will now get a new window on the screen where you can find all information about your system [ranging from hardware to software].

Well another way to find out OS version [this will work probably only on windows XP]. It goes like this------------------>

1. Open notepad.
2. Save the empty file with any name [and yes remember it's location]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
____NOTE____ Make it sure that you save the file with extension .nfo [i.e. suppose abc.nfo] and the dialog box "Files of type" in "Save as" window
contain "All files"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Exit notepad and double click on the file [to open it] you just created.

5. You will get an error dialog box like this------>

| Sytem information cannot open this NFO file. It might be corrupted or |
| an unrecognised version. |
| _________ |
| | OK | |

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all tell me one thing. You first posted this thread on October 13th, 2007. So does that mean that you are facing this problem from that day itself and it's not solved till today. I mean to say that it might be then absolutely boring (and obviously worst experience) while you are browsing the web. If you are still facing this problem and are really exhausted you can try downloading other internet browsers which MIGHT solve your problem for the timebeing.
You can try any of the following browsers till your problem is solved

1. Netscape navigator
www.browser.netscape.com/
2. Mozilla firefox
www.mozilla.com/firefox/
3. Opera----------------------------------------------------------(I always use this one)
www.opera.com/download/

This might solve your problem till your IE problem is solved.
################################################## ###############
Please tell me one more thing:
When you are surfing the web, are none of the images visible. I mean to ask that when you search images on google, are those visible. Do tell me this thing.
If you are facing this problem for specific sites, do mention there name also.
################################################## ###############
While in internet explorer, goto----
[Tools]--->[Internet options]--->[advanced]
Scroll down to "mutimedia" section and make sure that there is a right mark (checked box is selected) against all of options except in "show image download placeholders" option and then click [apply].
################################################## ###############
Right click the area where image is not showing up (and where you expect the image) and click [refresh]
################################################## ###############
If you get an image as shown below in this reply (check out below for an attached image if you can see it or use another computer to see that image) in place of images, do tell me. If you answer yes to this question you can right click and click on [Show pictures].

I've had this problem for awhile now. For some reason videos wouldn't show on youtube, so I had my brother fix that. And after he got the vidoes working, then pictures stopped showing up, but only on certain sites such as myspace, photobucket, my girlyspace (a place to find myspace layouts), and even on youtube the little picture of the video doesn't show up most of the time. Google pictures always shows up, never have a problem with them, thank god. Its very fursterating. I took it in to get fixed, and the guy claimed he fixed it, but he most certainly did not. Perhaps he didn't understand the problem even. But I can't take it to get fixed again, short on cash. I must let you know how much your help is appreciated. I will most definitely try everything you recommend. But I must say I don't know know if I can change web browsers, I'am most fond of IE.

Let me tell you that only 3 months ago I was also an IE lover, but once I started using IE I got amazed with it's user friendly interface, speed (it's called world's fastest web browser) etc.
So (my advice is) you must try using it.

Tell me which Anti virus you are using and on XP what type of account you use (administrator or limited user).
Also if you can tell me detailed version of your anti virus it might be helpful to me to troubleshoot this problem.
Furthermore tell me whether there are any red x's or empty boxes that indicate that an image should be there. Is the area is simply blank or a huge space in there area where you expect a picture. Whatever comes on the screen in place of that picture, can you please attach it's image in this thread.
If you don't know how to take screenshot (image) of your screen to be attached here, do tell me. I will then tell you a way to this.

Do you have any popup blockers installed on your system? What are addons installed for your version of IE?

Make sure your answers must be detailed for I now need more details regarding this problem.

I found some tips on internet. Try them out :---

1. Try downloading Java.
--------------------------------------->>>>>>>>(I don't have much idea about this)

2.Go to Tools > Internet Options > Go to "Browsing History" section and select Delete > Delete all.

When it's done, it should have gotten rid of all the junk that has accumlated from IE7's history and this might probably help

3.Try downloading (and obviously using) "IE7 Pro" (link given below).

IE7 Pro link ------>

4. You must download any other browser (even if you don't like using anything else other than IE) and check out whether this problem exist with other browsers also. If the problem exist there also, contacting help personnals at myspace etc. might be of help.

Huh......Are you sure that Registrysmart is an antivirus? When I searched I found that it is not (PROBABLY AS FAR AS I could find). So I recommend that you download an antivirus (Zonealarm, Mcafee, Norton etc.) or else you will end up with more worst problems with your PC in future than what you are facing right now.

In case you're still having that red x or no-picture dilemma, I hope the following will save you. I experienced the same problem lately with Internet Explorer. I downloaded and used Mozilla Firefox but the problem persisted. After some web-looking, I tried the following and it solved the problem:

1. Download WinSock XP, save then run it. After you run it, your PC will restart;
2. After restart, download Opera Web Browser and start using it as your means of surfing the web.

I initially used IE and Firefox after I installed WinSock but the problem still persisted. The problem only ceased when I started using Opera (after I installed WinSock). I guess I have to live with Opera until IE or Firefox resolves this problem (or perhaps I will never use them again even after they sort out the problem). Hope this helps.
