All of those STARTING QUESTIONS / IDEAS are very easy to fill in the blank I will do some for you in full question but there is alot of room for questions with in those ideas..
Talk hardware / software "Find out what he or she knows about the heart of a computer talk about the software they have used to get rid of bugs virus and so forth..."
Talk Server "What OS does he or she know? Can they set up basic stuff like DNS DHCP? can they manage them add scopes etc...."
