send email from command line using outlook

Hi,
I need to send a mail using Outlook with an attachment, using DOS / Command Line.
The line of code i am using is

\outlook.exe /c ipm.note /m [e-mail] /a C:\attachedFile.txt

The above code opens the outlook in a new message window with the file attached. To send it, i have to manually click SEND button.

What i want is to send the mail automatically.

Any help is welcome !!

You don't need Outlook to send mail. Regardless what client you use other than a Web browser, outgoing e-mail is almost always done via SMTP - and that includes Outlook - even when tied to Exchange Server.
I suggest using BLAT, an excellent and FREE command-line mail sender that has many features including attachments, subject line, sent from, reply to, AUTH user and password, accepts multiple To: destinations. There isn't much better.
Just google it. It's a free, open source project hosted at (where else?) sourceforge.net - 'gluck!

Hi,

Even i had the same problem.Needed to send the mail automatically,but mine is an microsoft exchange server and not an SMTP server.
Can any one please help me on this one?
