I was creating my word document during some weeks, I work in MS Word 2007. Yesterday I almost finished it. Today I've decided to check all the formatting and etc. But I opened MS Word and I didn't see 3 last pages of my work. It looked like I had forgotten to save it. But actually, I saved it. I want to get these pages back as soon as possible.

Suddenly, Word has vanished and WordPad is here instead. When I clicked on a document, it said that WordPad did not support everything. I would like Word back as I do not think it should have been removed without my consent and I do not care for WordPad.

Hi, In the last couple weeks Windows must be having a problem with updates. At least a few times a week I go to start a Windows 10 Pro computer on our work network and get either a Blue Screen Error (Inaccessible Boot Device) or I'll go to login in to a computer and there is no keyboard or mouse. I can do a few hard shut downs to get to...

I am trying to change the sent date on a Microsoft outlook email. Here's what I've done so far: * Exported outlook folder containing a single email to a .pst file * Opened .pst file in hex editor and checked value at offset 10, which is 0x17, confirming file is a unicode pst file * Checked bCryptMethod byte at offset 513, which is 0x01,...

But almost every day I use MS Word 2013. I was writing some pages and after saving the document, I closed it. Today I haven't opened .docx without any reason.

I am working with a Vaio running Windows. I have a encrypted Verbatim secure drive USB with data on it. When inserted the USB asks for my password and it mounts the secure partition when I put in my password. Currently it does not ask for my password but displays a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Has anyone come across this problem ?...

I am building a command-line application which writes messages to the terminal as it processes. There is no GUI for this applicaion. Currently I run from the command line, although in "normal use", our field-service people will just double-click on the image name in the explorer. Normally the program just runs "silently", and the window...

Hello All, I have an interesting problem under Windows 7 Home Premium version - while my system is sitting idle: I see that I have slightly over 25% CPU consumption. System is AMD CPU with 4 cores. As a user account, I see roughly fifteen processes, with a total CPU consumption of two to three percent (2%-3%). Invoking "Show...

Is there a simple command that I can use as Admin to cause my computer to fetch and apply all outstanding updates. What was suggested is this, although it seems not to work: wuauclt /DetectNow /UpdateNow I also observe that the "/UpdateNow" option is not well documented in the sources that I've seen, so I do not even know if it...

I need to execute updates on remote windows 10 systems. These systems may not be configured for auto-update, so the command cannot assume default behaviour. Is there a simple command or script that I can use? This is a new area to me, so please forgive my amateurish question.

My laptop is on, but my monitor is off. I don't know what's the issue because it's a new laptop with Windows 7. I tried to restart it using Ctrl+Alt+Del, but it doesn't react. What am I supposed to do to fix this?

Looks like my website is about to outgrow Godaddy because the database space is going to exceed 200mb so that alone is forcing me to go elsewhere... just not sure where. I came across a few review sites that offer suggestions but wondering if anyone here has any first hand experiences they could share, good or bad.
