How can i enable MS COMM Control

1
Hello,

I"m trying to write a program in VB which would allow interfacing external devices to serial ports of a PC. I found out that I have to enable MS Comm control in the list of components. Using Visual Studio 2008 and following the steps of click tools > click add reference > Click COM tab > scrolling for MS Comm control and click OK. Following these steps, i couldn't find MS Comm control on the list. Please can someone guide me through how to enable this control?

Thanks for your anticipated help.
