Need help coding a search form in Visual Studio 2010

P: 1
I am creating a web application backed by a SQL database in visual studio 2010. I have created a form with a dropdownlists for date and category as well as a textbox to perform a key word search. The dropdownlists have sqldatasources added to them (ex. the category dropdownlist has the datasource from the SQL database for category). A gridview has been created and the datasource has been tied into the gridview (this datasource contains all fields: date, category, keywords, chamber position, specific issues).

essentially what i want to be able to do is (when clicking the SEARCH button), I want to search using any combination of the 3 criteria (date, category, keyword) and then display the the results (chamberposition, specific issue, date and category) correspnding to the search criteria...

ie...a search using just the drop down list for date should return the chamberposition, specific issues, category and date for all items in the database corresponding to that date.
