how to create multiple users login in vb

sir i'm using sql as my backend and vb as my front end
how can i create multiple users login...i' ve created a table in sql and accessing the name and password from there....can i do that for multilple users...can i have the code please if it is possible

you need to use select count(*) from table_name where user='user_name' and password='password'

if this query returns 1 proceed further.

else reprompt for correct username and password.

username should be primarykey.
