Backup and Recovery (MySQL & VB 6)

Hi there programmers could anyone help me on how to create a Backup and Recovery Module for my system, im really having a hard time on this..tnx in advance

I have code for recovery for ACCESS DATABASE. I creat backup by specifying path and copying it in specified folder. I am not sure if it will help you at all.

how bout in MySQL in VB6 do you know how to backup it?

Hi

First, you have to specify the path as well as the database file to be recovered, then start replacing the old copy with your current database file (recovery) or copy it (backup). You can use FileCopy or add FileSystemObject reference. I know you can do it ^ ^

Can i use FileCopy in MySQL? My idea is to use the mysqldump but i dont know how to use it..
