Masked Edit Box Problems

P: 63
How do I make sure that a masked edit box is not left empty ?

I tried this but nothing works... :(

If MaskEdBox1.Text
.Mask = " " Then

MsgBox "PPS Number Required ! ", vbExclamation, "Missing Date"

End If

Thanks in advance,

I think you're checking the wrong property. Pretty sure Mask is just where you specify what format to apply. More likely you'll want to check Value or Text or similar.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. If MaskEdBox1.Mask=""
  2.      MsgBox "PPS Number Required ! ", vbExclamation, "Missing Date"
  3. End If
  4.
Thanks in advance,

Hi MiziaQ

Instead of Mask, try ClipText. Cliptext returns only the literal characters of what you really inputted excluding the mask format while the Mask is used for input format. : )
