Can vb 6 connect to .db file?

Can vb 6 connect to .db file? I would like connect some table in .db file to vb 6. It's possible?

i am sorry, but could you tell me what is a .db file??
i think it is a database but what exactly is it??? (access, SQL Server, Oracle, etc)

Is a data file.

The description of the file is :
Generic database file extension; could be created by a number of different database programs; may also be imported into multiple database programs.
